A Win At Paisley |
 |
The Aberdeen A XI. accomplished a smart performance at Paisley, where they defeated St Mirren "A" in an Alliance fixture by 4 goals to 1. In the first half, Spalding gave Aberdeen the lead after Yuille had stopped but failed to clear a hard shot by the centre forward. In the second half the Pittodrie attackers worked with rare harmony, and shot with great accuracy. McBoyle, Mutch, and Spalding found the net, and in response Cameron counted for St Mirren. Near the close some temper crept into the game, and Connon and McCormack were ordered off. Aberdeen were much the superior team, and thoroughly deserved their big win. Thomson, Bruce, Connon, and Thomson were outstanding for Aberdeen, and McVey, Smillie, Cameron, and Mclntosh for the losers.
