Young Dons Goal Spree
Our next game was against St, Johnstone Reserves, whom we beat quite easily This game was arranged so that the players who don't get a regular game get a chance to show their paces.
Duncan Davidson put us ahead early on and Davie Robb scored the second with a strong header, from a Sullivan cross. Jocky Scott and Ian Gibson combined for Jocky to score our third before the interval. Brown, Grant and Campbell came on for Scott, Pye and Davidson after half time. Dave Robb went on to complete his hat-trick and with Dom Sullivan and George Campbell scoring we finished with seven goals. St. Johnstone scored a consolation goal near the end.
The feature of this game was the handling of cross balls, the use of the ball and the ability to "read" the game by our goalkeeper John Gardiner. He has come on by leaps and bounds, and if a first team chance came along I'm sure John would not let the side down.
