Venue: Carolina Port, Dundee
Aberdeen met the East End at Dundee in the Northern League competition, East End kicked off against the wind and sun, and at once invaded Aberdeen territory. A minute later Aberdeen were swanning round the home goal, but nothing resulted. After ten minutes' lively play Aberdeen drew first blood, White scoring. Five minutes later Aberdeen registered a second point, the ball being again put through by White. Half-time: Aberdeen 2, East End 0.
On crossing over the Stripes assumed the aggressive, putting Aberdeen for a time on their mettle. The first and only goal for the ground team was scored about 15 minutes from the start of the second period, the leather being shot through by Brown. The remainder of the match was decidedly in favour of the East End, the Aberdonians being almost persistently pressed. They, however, failed to equalise, and Aberdeen ran out the victors by 2 goals to 1. This is the first defeat which the East End has sustained in the league competitions.
