In an Aberdeen and District League match at Pittodrie last night, the Aberdeen A team defeated an Aberdeen University XI by 5 goals to 3. The students gave a good account of themselves in the first half, at the end of which the winners led by 2 goals to 1, but afterwards Aberdeen A were much superior, and after they secured their third goal the issue was never in doubt. The scorers were Spalding (3), Ritchie, and Forbes, for Aberdeen A, and McCombie (from a penalty) and Laing for the University. There were only about 500 spectators.
