Ibrox Reserves Get In On The Act

Scott Thomson's absence from the semi-final tie at Pittodrie, however, could not be blamed for Aberdeen's 1-0 defeat. There were a number of other factors, such as weather conditions which made controlled football nigh on impossible; the greater experience carried by a Rangers team who were also anxious to make amends for losing 2-0 to the young Dons in the league at Ibrox four days earlier; and, not least, a generally disappointing display by the Pittodrie side.
