Young Dons Survive Beckett's Bad Luck

Against Hibs at Easter Road, the Dons conceded an early goal but hit back to get in front by half time with goals from Steve Cowan and Billy Stark. Gary Riddell was missing for the second half after a knock but Dons kept on top and had the game sewn up when the impressive Joe Miller was brought down in the area and Paul Wright made no mistake from the spot. The Dons created plenty of other scoring chances without quite being able to finish them off and just before the end, Hibs hit back with a second goal although there was never much doubt that the points would go Aberdeen's way.

Dons' line-up against Hibs was: Beckett, Green, Robertson, Stark, Riddell, Mclntyre, Miller, Grant, Cowan, Wright, Lawrence. Subs: Stephen (for Riddell) and McRobb.
