Macdonald the Caledonian goalkeeper, saved two beauties, which would have beaten a more capable custodian. Aberdeen were awarded a penalty off Mackay, from which they equalized the game Caledonian after this played up much better, and Macfarlane had ultimately to admit himself beaten by a beauty from Maclennan, although he made a Cal and attempt to save. Aberdeen were keeping the places better than the Caledonian, and came near equalising on several locations. The Caledonian near the end of the first period almost added to their score, Sutherland, the outside left, sending in a deceiving shot, which took Macfarlane all his time to get rid of.
Aberdeen in the second period played a much better and were often in Caledonian Territory, but Macleod, Macdonald, and Fotheringham were on their best behaviour. Knowles had hard lines in striking the post, but ultimately he had the satisfaction of equalising. Both teams scored two wards the end, and an exciting much ended in a draw of three goals each Mister A. Forbes, Inverness, refereed with satisfaction. The gate amounted to £11.
