Aberdeen A met Saint Andrew one Athletics - members of the Aberdeen First Class Junior League - in a friendly match at Pittodrie Park last night. There was a very meagre attendants. Teams:-
Aberdeen A: King; Mutch, Hay; Robertson, Simpson, Morgan; Simpson, Gordon, Toman, Ritchie, Davidson.
Saint Andrew Athletics: Burns; Dignon, Ewen; McKinty, Macdonald, Forbes; King, Brown, McAulay, McNair, J. Toman.
Referee: A. Watt, Aberdeen.
Aberdeen A kicked off, and making quickly for the juniors' goal scored, through Ritchie, after some trouble with the backs. The Saints played up smartly giving Mutch and Hay plenty of work, but the forwards were weak in finishing. Gordon, getting the ball, raced down, and shooting on the run, easily beat Burns. Soon after T. Toman registered a third goal for Aberdeen.
On resuming, the Athletics fairly paid a visit to king capitalize, who, however, rose to the occasion and cleared smartly. The second half was very uneventful, no further scoring taking place.
