Young Dons Require More Snap
WITH more snap in attack the Young Dons could have won their Reserve League Cup-tie against St Mirren "A" which ended in a draw 1-1 at Pittodrie on Saturday.
In the closing minutes they were pressing, but there was no taker for the dangerous balls that hovered around the visiting goal.
There was a lack of cohesion in Aberdeen team. Both Jeffrey, who deputised for Hume, and Glen, the former Annbank junior, lay too far back, depriving Waldron of the necessary support.
Best of the newcomers was Willie Bruce, the former Raith Rovers player, who had a good day in goal, having two magnificent saves from McAlhinney in the first half.
Playing against his former teammates, Roy, at centre half, gave a good display.
Waldron scored Aberdeen's goal from the penalty spot in the first half. Jack equalised after the interval.
