Colts Regain Form

Aberdeen's Under-18 side ended a series of four successive Youth League defeats with an emphatic 3-0 win over Queen of the South at Palmerston Park, after producing their best all-round performance since the New Year. Coach Neil Cooper was particularly pleased with the quality of their passing.
Given a 12th-minute lead by Michael Craig, the Pittodrie colts lost Darren Young through injury in 40 minutes. but his replacement, Baldur Bett. found the net just before the interval. The third goal came early in the second half, Russell Anderson supplying the finishing touches to a build-up involving Tony Yeats, Keith Wishart and Craig.
With Chris Dawson and goalkeepe, Ryan Esson subsequently brougte off the subs' bench for experience. an injury to Mark Gray left Aberdeen having to play with only 10 men far the final 20 minutes of the game.
