At Pittodrie night, an Aberdeen A team defeated a representative eleven of the Aberdeen Juvenile Association by 4 goals to 1. The winners were the superior team, and well deserved their victory, considering that Yule sustained a rather serious injury to his arm early the game, and was unable to resume, but the Juveniles played much better than the adverse score would indicate. Early in game C. Forbes got through to count twice for Aberdeen, and added a third with an unsaveable shot. The Juveniles never really recovered from these early reverses, and although they were always nippy and clever, their attack did not often get going. For Aberdeen, A. Forbes hit the crossbar and the best attacking effort on the part the Juveniles was to the credit of Cummings. The Juveniles fared much better in the second half, when their defence especially did well. Neilson got through to score a fourth for Aberdeen, and near the end the Juveniles came strongly, and after repeated onslaughts on Lawrie's charge, Ross scored a lovely goal with a splendid shot.
For Aberdeen McBoyle, Smith, C. Forbes. and A. Forbes were outstanding, and Thomson (back), Longmuir, Ross, and Cumming were the best in a Juvenile team that stood up well against heavier and more experienced opponents.
