Five-star Russell

As in the earlier meeting with Cowdenbeath, which produced a 7-3 win, and the 11-0 away victory over Stenhousemuir, the return game with Cowdenbeath was as one sided as the scoreline suggests, but the Aberdeen youngsters are to be commended on their professional approach to what is obviously a mis-matched fixture. Russell Duncan, who scored six goals in the Stenhousemuir game, again headed the scorers' list with five against Cowdenbeath. Darren Mackie contributed a hat-trick, Michael Hart netted twice, and the remaining goal fell to Kevin Ruckiewicz, a former S-form signing who has recently been called up.
