Young Dons Fall At Love Street

Goal by Former Ross County Player Decides.

A goal by McKenzie, the former Ross County player, midway through the second half, put paid to Aberdeen "A's" hopes at Love Street in their Alliance League game with St Mirren "A."

The Young Dons were rather unfortunate to lose as they had as much of the play of their opponents, but their finishing was weak. The homesters were more aggressive at the outset and Westland had a busy time in the Aberdeen goal, but he came well out of the ordeal.
After half-an-hour the visitors came more into the picture and Devers and Moore were prominent. Half-time arrived with no scoring and play resumed on the same vigorous lines, both goals being visited in turn.
Devers was again prominent for Aberdeen but he could not apply the finishing touch, and twenty minutes after the restart McKenzie got through to score the all-important goal. A closing rally by the visitors brought no reward.
Best for St Mirren "A" were Bair, Feeney, Wilson and Neil, and for the Young Dons, Westland, Donald, Devers and Moore.
