SCOTT SCORES
Aberdeen "A" reduced the deficit in the twenty-fifth minute. A down-the-middle slip by Mackie found the defence out position, and W. Scott had little difficulty in finding the net. The Young Dons, who had played the better brand of football, immediately attacked after the interval and for a time Lynch was kept busy. Kelly was next in action when he dropped a simple shot. Holland advanced on him, but after a struggle the 'keeper succeeded in clearing. Near the end W. Scott completely miskicked in his eagerness to score. It was but one of the instances of how overanxiety had proved the Young Dons' undoing.Source: Press & Journal, 13th September 1937
