Aberdeen 100% start to the season in the Under 21 league continued as they won 7-5 in a remarkable match in which they came from behind twice. The game had an explosive start as Colin Nish equalising for the visitors two minutes later, Owen Coyle then put the 'Pars' 3-1 in front before the half hour scoring the first two goals of a hat-trick. However the Dons were in front at half time as the first goal of an Arild Stavrum hat-trick and Rachid Belabed and Derek Young who both scored in the same minute gave the Dons a 4 -- 3 lead.
Shortly after half time Colin Nish brought the home side level but two goals in three minutes from Andreas Mayer and Arild Stavrum put the Dons 6 - 4 in front. Owen Coyle completed his hat-trick in the seventy-fifth minute when he scored Dunfermline's fifth however Arild Stavrum completed the scoring in the eighty-seventh minute when he scored his third and the Dons seventh goal.
