Celtic 2 - 0 Aberdeen

With trialists at left back and inside-right, the young Dons gave a clever display at Celtic Park, but had to thank goalkeeper Kelly for denying Celtic a substantial early lead.
A couple of saves, one a six-yarder, the other a scorcher from Campbell, were masterly.
Celtic's first goal seven minutes from the interval was of a soft nature. Campbell was fouled near midfield, and Celts' left back Kelly, lobbed the ball inot goal for Quinn to connect and tap the ball through.
Aberdeen with some surprising forward movements in the second half, but despite their valiant efforts they were repeatedly foiled by Ugolini in the home goal. Hume was the Dons' best forward, excelling in ball control.
Campbell settled the issue by scoring a second goal for Celtic during a scrimmage.
