ALTHOUGH brilliant football was not produced by either side, Aberdeen "A" fully earned their 4-2 victory over Queen's Park Strollers in a Reserve League game at Pittodrie on Saturday.
Backbone of the more forcing Aberdeen side was the half-back line - McVean, M,Kenzie, and Taylor. All three had a good day.
Credit for the smartest moves in the forward line goes to Kiddie and Waldron, who struck up a rood combination in the first half.
Clark was steady in defence until he was injured, and Watson, in goal, dealt confidently with some grand tries from MacCardle and McAuley. Alexander, Queen's outside right, was their most dangerous forward.
Kiddie was the prime mover behind Aberdeen's first two goals, scored by Jeffrey and McVean. Coleman and Waldron got the others, and MacCardle counted twice for Queen's.
Fifteen minutes from time, Clark, the Aberdeen left back, had to carried off with a fractured leg. The accident occurred during a tackle with Alexander, the opposing outside right.
