IT was a good performance by the Pittodrie reserves to force a replay in the semi-final of the Scottish 2nd XI. Cup, but they had enough chances in the first half to win the game outright. Before Botha scored after thirty minutes the play had all been in the vicinity of Rangers' goal.
Rangers were on top after the interval, and seemed set for victory with goals by Parlane and Williamson. The Young Dons came again, however, and Colman beat McIndewar with a snot wihich seemed to be deflected into the net by McColl.
Aberdeen were strong in defence, and McKenzie at centre halif was outstanding. Colman and Botha were the best of the forwards.
The re-play will be played at Pittodrie Park on Saturday.
