Misfortunes Attend Young Dons

Aberdeen Reserves were unfortunate to lose at Love Street. They got off to a bad start when McGuire misjudged a pass back and beat his own goalkeeper for what turned out to be the only goal of the game.
Further misfortune befell the visitors when Joe McLaughlin was injured with fifteen minutes gone and had to shift from left half to outside left. Coleman moved back and put up a good show in the mid-line, although the stars in the Aberdeen side were Cooper at right back and McVean at right half.
Despite their handicap, Aberdeen had more of the play in the second half, and Woods ultimately had the ball in the net, but the goal was disallowed.
