Thomson Hero of Victorious Young Dons

Kenny Thomson was the hero of the Aberdeen "A" team in their 4-3 victory over Partick Thistle "A" in the Scottish Second XI. Cup third round replay at Pittodrie on Saturday.
He saved them time and again in the second half when they cracked up after building up a three-goal interval lead.
In his first outing in two months Tommy Pearson led Jacky Husband a merry dance and scored the first two goals, one from the penalty spot.
Full-backs Robson and Ashe were sound enough for Aberdeen "A," and Robb and Stenhouse both did well in the first half. Millar and Smith both scored for the home team, and McCallum (penalty), Braidwood and Harper for Partick "A."
