First Half slump costs Dons

Aberdeen's Under 18's went down 3-1 to their Rangers counterparts at Murray Park on Saturday following a poor first half display.

Drew Jarvie says Saturday's game was, like the first team's, a tale of two halves. "We never got going in the first period and found ourselves 3-0 down, but Zander Diamond got us back into the match early in the second half. We should have had what I felt was a stonewall penalty then saw a couple of efforts hit the woodwork and cleared off the line. Had we got a second goal, I'm sure we could even have gone on to win the match we were so much in control of the second half."
