The home side had the better of the early exchanges with Fotheringham firing in a couple of free kicks which failed to test Hutton in the Aberdeen goal. Templeman went closer with a shot that the keeper did well to turn round his post. Slightly against the run of play, the Dons went ahead following some good build up play. Hinds eventually collected the ball inside the box and beat two defenders before firing the ball past Hay.
Brechin levelled matters shortly after the break when Charlie King swung in a corner and found White in splendid isolation. The Brechin man didn't waste the chance as he headed past an unprotected Hutton. Worse was to follow when Templeman set up Roddy Black for the winner with only three minutes remaining.
