Late show earns the points for reserves

A goal in stoppage time from former Motherwell man Steven Craig gave the Dons second string the points over Dunfermline in a scrappy Links Park encounter that saw Aberdeen target Jamie Langfield sent off for foul and abusive language.

Chances were few and far between with Markus Paatelainen coming closest for Neil Cooper's men, having efforts cleared off the line both before and after the interval. The Pars were reduced to ten men on the hour mark when the visitors keeper Langfield was sent packing for remarks made to referee Brunton.

Icelandic striker Thorarinn Kristjansson was carried off with twenty minutes remaining, to be replaced by youngster Chris Maguire and a stalemate looked on the cards until, in injury time, CRAIG shot home from close range.
