Rangers 2 - 1 Aberdeen

HT Score: Rangers 0 - 0 Aberdeen

SPL Reserves
Aberdeen scorers: Paton (Pen).

14/04/2009 | KO: 14:00

it was a very young Aberdeen side that travelled down to Murray Park and they went in at half time 0-0, with the Young Dons playing some nice football without creating much threat. After the break Rangers took the lead when they were awarded a rather dubious penalty - let's just say Andrius Velicka went down rather easily in the box - and Stevie Smith scored from the spot. Then a short time later Rangers made it two with a good goal as some fine midfield play was finished off by Fleck who fired home. Aberdeen did not give up though and Michael Paton won a penalty in the closing stages. Michael got up himself to take the kick and scored but Rangers held on for the victory.
