Aberdeen U 19s drew their final game before the winter break at Balgownie against St Mirren. In a poor first half the Dons failed to get going and struggled in the blustery conditions. They went behind on 11 minutes. From a corner Gair was unmarked and the centre half prodded the ball home. A soft goal from Aberdeen's point of view.
After Neil Cooper's team talk the young Dons improved vastly after the break and were a lot better. On 67 minutes Peter Pawlett had a great run from midfield and as he burst into the box he was sandwiched between two defenders. From the resulting penalty captain Johnny Crawford finished well to put his side back on level terms.
After that Aberdeen had chances to win the game. Callum McRobbie came closest when he hit the bar. A draw though was probably a fair result in the end. Stirling Smith was again the Dons man of the match.
