Aberdeen 4 - 0 St. Johnstone

ABERDEEN and Falkirk will meet in the final of the Dewar Shield competition.

Yesterday the Dons beat St Johnstone by four clear goals at Pittodrie, and over the two games had an aggregate of 5--2. Dundee, who won at Dens Park on Wednesday night by 5-2 against Falkirk, lost by four clear goals in the second match at Brockville yesterday, and were thus ousted from the competition.

Aberdeen were not in the least flattered, by their victory over St Johnstone at Pittodrie. If they had cared, they could have won by a much greater score.
St. Johnstone were a very moderate lot, and on that account it will not possible to judge Aberdeen's capabilities until they are in opposition against stronger teams.
The Play of the Dons was highly satisfactory against the Saints, who were shown up in a bad llgnt.
The home defence ss very solid. Taylor was the best wing half on view and Dunlop had a firm hold on McIntosh while Cruickshank did some usefeful work.
The forwards were in lively mood. There were two strong wings on view. The outstanding forward was undoubtedly Kiddie. He Is very clever on the ball, can beat an opponent with ease, and crosses a very dangerous ball. He was responsible for the opening for three of the goals.
Pattillo came next in order of merit. His general play was good, and he performed the hat-trick.
Bremner, who scored one of the goals also had a good game, and impressed by the way he supported Kiddie. Miller proved he is equally effective on the left as on the right. Hammond, always a trier, suffered through lack of experience.
Driver, of Sheffield Wednesday, is available to play for the Dons at Kilmarnock. The team will be chosen from the following twelve players: Johnstone, Cooper, Dyer, Taylor, Dunlop, Cruickshank, Kiddie, Bremner, Baird, Pattillo, Driver, Miller.
