Dundee A 4 - 0 Aberdeen

At Dens Park the home side had the better of exchanges, and paid the Aberdoriians back for the Scottish 2nd XI. Cup Tie defeat. Unfortunately, Herd got his thumb strained and had to retire, Aberdeen having to get through their gruelling with less men. What play their was came almost entirely from the home side, who scored four goals. The visitors never settled into their Stride, and were unable to score.

The Aberdeen A team traveled to Dundee and played Dundee A team in a friendly game. The teams were:-
Dundee A: Laburn; Lyon, Oswald; Taylor, McAteer, Bruce; Mitchell, Docherty, Cowie, Fairweather, Petrie.
The Aberdeen A: Herd one, Willox, Brebner; Davidson, J. Simpson, Robertson; R. Simpson, Ward, Brown, Law, Edgar.
In the first half Dundee out played Aberdeen at all points, and scored four goals, the scorer's being Cowie (2) up to, Davie [sic] and Taylor.
The game was more evenly contested in the second half. The Aberdeen had many opportunities of scoring, but their shooting was wild.
