The A's Lose by the Odd Goal.
It was a good game at Brechin on Saturday, but the A's were a good bit behind their previous week's form. Plenty of chances came their way, but they could put little pith into their parting, contenting themselves with close passing and attempting to run the ball through. Brechin have a couple of sturdy defenders, and they did not scruple to size up the visitors' game, and relieved them of the ball quite easily at times. That Mutch was only beaten once was no fault of Brechin's, for they lashed the ball into him at every opportunity, till they succeeded in getting the goal, which also gave them the points. The A's seem to have struck a bad patch just now, and there will need to be a shuffle up amongst the forwards if they cannot score a goal.Source@ Bon-Accord, 7th March 1907
