The A's Buck Up.
After a series of in and out games, in which the A team displayed anything but conistent form, they managed to beat Lochee United at St. Margaret's' Park on Saturday. Playing against the wind in the first half, they held their own, and when the pinch came in the second portion "Gowie" did the needful, scoring three. The A's finished with 3-1, the same as the first team did. Aberdeen were splendidly served by their defence when the wind was against them. The halves did well, Davidson being the pick of the three. Robertson, Toman and Collins were the best of the forward line, the weather upsetting the other pair. In Burns Lochee have a great centre forward, and on play he was the best they had. The goalkeeper was also good and saved nicely several grand shots from the centre and inside left.Source: Bon-Accord, 27th February 1908
