It was a dull, uninteresting Northern League game at Station Park, and Forfar Athletic deserved to win over Aberdeen. The only goal of the match was scored in the first half by P. Anderson, who played in the centre forward position. He beat several opponents and sent past Sutherland with a terrific to drive. The second half was poor, neither 11 being dangerous. The Loons had a greatly changed team from that which defeated Arbroath on New Year's Day. Gibb was absent from left back, and Soutar, who is proving quite a handy man in the Forfar team, filled the vacancy, and played a good game. Petrie was unable to play at outside left, and Langlands went there, while Brown became inside man, and P. Anderson, who is just newly demobilised, proved an able pilot. The latter's brother, J. Anderson, was not so brilliant at inside right as he was on Thursday. A nasty foal in the first half seemed to put him off his game.
The Aberdonians were a hefty lot, and played consistent football, but failed to clinch matters in front of goal. Fraser had several good tries, but the other forwards rarely shown. Wyllie, the stalwart centre half, gave a good display, while the backs, Foote and Callender, kicked a clean bowl and were steady throughout.
