A Win for Leith Athletic
An Eastern League match between Leith Athletic and Aberdeen A was played at Bathgate Park, Edinburgh. The first half favoured the Athletic, and while their goal was seldom in danger, the visitors had some narrow escapes. Burns struck the upright, and only the bad footing prevented Robertson from netting the ball. A hot bombardment of the Aberdeen goal followed a corner, and after shots by Burns, Brown, and Robertson, Neil opened the scoring. The second half was more evenly contested, with Aberdeen adopting wide passing. They equalised through Neil, but Leith regained the lead, Burn scoring after Dunn had forced a corner. Thereafter both goals had escapes but there was no further scoring.

Aberdeen A were unfortunate to lose to Leith Athletic in an Eastern League game at Bathgate Park, Edinburgh, by the odd goal in three. The only goal of the first half was scored by Neil, the Leith right half, after exciting play at both ends. The exchanges in the second half were fairly even. Neil, playing at right half, counted for Aberdeen, and Robertson secured a second home goal for the home team. Outstanding for Aberdeen A were McBoyle, Cairns, Neil, Moir and Grant. Lennie, an Edinburgh junior, at centre-forward, created a fair impression.
