Point For Aberdeen 'A'
At Wardie Park, Leith, Aberdeen "A" succeeded in dividing points with Leith Athletic after a stirring game. The visitors had the slope with a strong wind in their favour in the first half, but Leith scored a surprise goal six minutes after the start through Ritchie, who netted from a free kick. It was close on half time before Davie equalised for Aberdeen. Leith had the pull in the second half, but failed to beat down a sturdy defence, in which Cunningham, the goalkeeper, was a prominent figure. Lack of judgement at close quarters seemed to be a failing with Leith, who otherwise gave a vigorous display against a heavy set of opponents.

An Aberdeen "A" team that included three players on trial did well to divide two goals with Leith Athletic under Scottish Alliance auspices at Wardle Park, Leith. Both goals were scored in the first half. Ritchie, from a free kick, gave the Athletic the lead, but before the interval Davie equalised with a splendid shot from thirty yards range. Both periods were strenuously contested, and each defence in turn was hard pressed. Cunningham, in the Aberdeen goal, gave a sterling display, and was well supported by his colleagues. In the closing stages, Aberdeen came near to taking both points. Connon and Forbes having good tries stopped by the home goalkeeper.
