The "A" team took full advantage of the "luck of the draw" and overcame Hearts' reserves to reach the next round of the Second Eleven Cup competition. The men from Tynecastle put up quite a good fight and it was rather unfortunate that one of their players (Jimmy Milne) should be hurt in the first half, so that he was more or less a cripple for the remainder of the game. Still we feel that even with eleven fit men, Hearts "A" would have found it quite difficult to hold out against eleven eager Dons, out for "the kill".
