Although dividing four goals after half an hour's play with Falkirk "A" in a Scottish Alliance match at Brockville, Aberdeen "A" fell away in the later stages, and were beaten by 5 goals to 2. The scoring was opened by Stirling, who counted for Falkirk from a penalty shortly after the start. Aberdeen quickly equalised, clever work by Paton enabling Main to count. The Aberdeen attack was seen to advantage subsequently, and K. Sutherland gave his side the lead, but near the interval Gourlay equalised for the home, team, and Stirling gave them the lead with a doubtful goal. In the second half Aberdeen had an equal share of the play, but were ineffective in front of goal. Stirling got a fourth goal for the home team, and netted a fifth time from a penalty near the close. The score greatly flattered the winners, who were really inferior in play, but Aberdeen played too closely, and while their display in front was more attractive it was not as profitable as the less studied methods their opponents.
