Weakness in Young Dons' Attack Fatal

IN their last nine matches the Young Dons have returned only one win. They had great chance to improve that record at Pittodrie on Saturday when they scored in their first raid against Raith Rovers "A".

After that, however, they seldom looked dangerous, and were beaten 2-1.
Weakness in attack was the Aberdeen team's downfall. In the second half, urged on by Chalmers and Waddell, the Aberdeen forwards saw much more of the ball than their opponents, but their attempts at breaking through the opposing defence were futile.
In an uninspiring attack McIntyre and Robb took most credit. It was this pair that gave Aberdeen the lead following Chalmers free-kick. McIntyre scoring after the 'keeper had blocked but failed to hold Robb's shot.
A south juvenile, who played a trial at centre half for the Young Dons, never came to grips with Murray, the Raith centre, who had both his side's goals.
McKeown and Pacione were both sound at full back, and Curran did some good work ir goal.
