At Forres, Aberdeen "A" overcame the Mechanics in a Highland League game by 4 goals to nil. The local club had out several juniors, and Aberdeen with a strong eleven had the best of matters all through. In the first half they scored through Bowie and Main, and in the second period Bowie added other two. Forres had opportunities, but their efforts were feeble, while Aberdeen, on the other hand, took every chance. In the Aberdeen front line some fine open movements were witnessed, in which Paton, Bowie, and Main were most prominent, while Dick at centre half was a great backer and a power of strength to his side. The play of Forres was disjointed, but they had hard luck on two occasions with tries from Hyslop and M. Stewart, but Cunningham fielded well. On the Aberdeen side, Sutherland, Dick, Paton, and Bowie were outstanding, while for Forres, Singer, Young, Dickie, and M. Stewart were best.
