An Aberdeen "A" team got the better Caledonian at Pittodrie by the only goal. The game was spoilt by a strong wind, which militated against good play, and in consequence the exchanges were for the most part uninteresting. With the wind in their favour in the first half, Caledonian attacked for the most part, but their finishing efforts left much to be desired. Ten minutes from the interval Bowie followed up a long return to nip the bail from Mitchell, the Caledonian left back, to hook smartly into the net. Caledonian made many efforts to equalise, but were well held by the home defence. In the second half Aberdeen were generally pursuing the offensive, but their forwards did not work well together. Caledonian, on the other hand, never looked like drawing level. For the home team, Ritchie, Dick, McDonald, McLeod, and Love were best. Caledonian were best served by Mitchell, Brewster, Docherly, and Whitton. Attendance 3000.
