Hard Fight By Aberdeen 'A'
In a strenuous game at Hampden, Queen's Park Strollers got the better of Aberdeen "A" by 3 goals to 2 in a Scottish Alliance game. The Pittodrie team included three of the Aberdeen University players. After 15 minutes play Duguid gave the Strollers the lead, but after spirited play Love rushed through the equaliser. Chalmers gave the Strollers the lead with a glorious shot, and just on the interval a remarkable save by Blair from Forbes prevented Aberdeen equalising. For the first twenty minutes of the second half Aberdeen maintained a spirited attack, but a sound defence stalled off the equaliser. Ultimately Duguid put on a third goal for the Strollers, but before the close Moir counted for Aberdeen.
