A second-half fight back by the Young Dons almost saw them snatch a point from a spirited Dunfermline Athletic "A" team in their "C2 Division match at Dunfermline last night.
The home team won by five goals to four.
Dunbar was a hero in the Aberdeen attack, claiming all Four goals.
He opened the scoring, but within ten minutes ihe home team were one up, when over-robust tackling by the Aberdeen defence coSt them two penalties. Duthie netted from both awards.
Dunbar levelled matters, but Dunfermline went two ahead before the interval through Allan and Brockie.
The Young Dons showed superiority in football skill in the second period, and Dunbar scored twice to put the teams on even terms. The home side, however, were not to be denied their two points, and shortly before the final whistle Allan scored the winning goal
