Aberdeen 'A' Fail At Tynecastle

Aberdeen "A" lost a couple of valuable Scottish Alliance points at Tynecastle Saturday, when Hearts "A" defeated them by the only goal of the match. Hearts had the better of the opening exchanges, but the Aberdeen halves were in good form. Following a breakaway by the Dons, in which a fruitless corner was forced. Morgan at the other end gave Hearts the lead off a cross from Rodgers. Aberdeen improved, and a great shot by McFarlane was blocked by a defender. The Dons monopolised play for a time, and Wilson and Falloon both went near to equalising.
On the resumption Aberdeen continued to press vigorously, and the Hearts' defence was given a busy time. Hearts were by no means out of it, and McSevich did well to stop a shot by Edgar. Following a quiet spell, Aberdeen once more attacked and a shot by McFarlane was only inches on the wrong side of the post, and a minute later Falloon all but beat White. Hearts retaliated, and Edgar hit the uprights for Morgan to send over from the re-bound. Until the finish Hearts made desperate but vain efforts to increase their advantage.
