In the first of these, against Buckie Thistle, Derek[Adams] made only a substitute appearance for a young Aberdeen team, which was reinforced by a wealth of experience in the shape of Alex McLeish, David Winnie, Neil Cooper and Michael Watt, but he came off the bench in time to create the opening for the first of the visitors' three second-half goals, scored by Stephen Glass, who was continu¬ing the impressive form he showed in the later part of last season. Graeme Ferguson and Kenny Gilbert were the other marksmen.
