Aberdeen Cup Win At Huntly

In the second final for the Aberdeenshire Cup, at Huntly last night. Aberdeen defeated Huntly by three goals to two.
In two minutes Donald gave the visitors the lead, but Huntly put up a good fight, and Sey had a good long range shot. Offside nullified a point by Polland, but McHale put Aberdeen further ahead from a flag kick. Huntly forced the pace, but the visitors returned. Referee Craigmyle was injured in a mix-up in the Huntly goalmouth, and had to get the trainer's attention. Ewen was fouled when going through, and W. Munro made no mistake. Cooper handling, Ewen gave Blackwell no chance from the spot.
In the first minute of the second half David hooked the ball past Paul. W. Munro's header missed by inches, and Blackwell was lucky to clear, with Summers and Young rushing in. Midfield play followed. Huntly were hard triers, and should have got level.
The medals were presented to both teams after the match, in the Pavilion.
