Points For Hearts 'A'

Aberdeen Reserves Fall at Tynecastle

Three thousand spectators saw Aberdeen A suffer their third defeat of the season at Tynecastle, where they fell to Hearts A by two goals to nil.
Hearts took the initiative at the start, but the Aberdeen defence was in fine fettle.
Cummings made his first save from Chalmers, and at the other end Warnock missed by the proverbial hairbreadth.
With a fast grounder Chalmers put the home team in the lead.
Burke made a great effort to level the scores when he beat three opponents to send past, but Hearts held their lead until the interval.

The Hearts' goal ran several narrow escapes on the resumption, but when Shannon was injured in a Hearts' raid Aberdeen's hopes diminished.
The homesters went further ahead through Johnstone.
Burke and Warnock were always prominent in the visitors' attack, but Hearts experienced little difficulty in maintaining their two goal lead.
