Beith Well Beaten at Pittodrie.
Aberdeen "A" Improved their position on the Alliance League table by a comfortable victory over Beith at Pittodrie Park on Saturday. Three local juniors in H. Baigrie (Mugiemoss), Clark (Mannofield Athletic), and Craig (East End) found places in the Aberdeen team, while Beith, who arrived a man short, had the services of Kidd, the juvenile Waterloo centre-half. Aberdeen were easily the superior team in the opening stages, and it came as no surprise when Burke opened the scoring with a fine drive after six minutes' play. Beith defended pluckily, but before the interval Burke had completed his hat-trick with two well taken goals. Aberdeen again asserted themselves in the closing stages, when Burke and Paterson added further goals.Source: Press & Journal, 2nd March 1931
