Thrilling Finish at Arbroath

For sixty-eight minutes the Arbroath "A"-Aberdeen "A" game provided the spectators with little excitement. Then, with four minutes left for play, and Aberdeen leading 1-0, Millar smashed in the equaliser.

Arbroath were a re-vitalised team and with only a minute left for play Riley first-timed home from a Hamilton pass.
Aberdeen swept upfield, and, with only seconds left, were awarded a penalty, the home keeper pushing Roy off the ball. Bruce made no mistake with the kick.
Aberdeen's early goal was scored by McIntyre in the first half. The Dons were ineffective in the early stages, their passes invariably finding an Arbroath defender.
George Skinner, Aberdeen's trialtst outside left from Comrie Colliery, had a promising game after a shaky opening. Latterly he was their best forward.
Arbroath signed a goalkeeper, Pat Gillespie, a former Doncaster Kovers player, just in time to play.
Aberdeen's best were Martin, Baikie, McIntyre, and Skinner. The home stars were Newman, Hamilton, and Riley.
