Keith Beaten in Friendly by Four Goals to One.
Keith, although beaten by four goals one by Aberdeen in a friendly game at Kynoch Park last night, were no means disgraced. They put up a splendid fight against their more experienced opponents. The homesters forced the pace at the start, but a couple of corners proved fruitless. Aberdeen took the lead through Armstrong, who went through and scored, an appeal by Keith for offside being ignored. Aberdeen, although they did the bulk of the pressing, were not having matters all their own way, and Cowie had two creditable tries for Keith. The Dons went further ahead through Adam, who scored from close range, and then Armstrong followed with a great goal.Second Half.
In the second half Keith were the aggressors during the opening fifteen minutes, and Scott opened the home account with a clever hook shot. Keith, through injury to Grant, had to play throughout the remainder of the game with ten men, and gradually Aberdeen gained the mastery, and in the closing minutes Armstrong again scored.Source: Press & Journal, 20th March 1932
