Nine In A Row For Reserves

TEN WINS in a row is good going in any standard of football, and that's what the reserves have strung together in their bid to retain their title. It's all the more creditable in view of the number of changes that have had to be made because of first team calls and injuries.
Our last two home wins ? Dundee (2-1) and Hearts (3-2)? have been close, but deserved. The Dundee game was a test of stamina on a very heavy Pittodrie pitch, and the deciding factors here were the experience of Ian Taylor, the stout defensive work of Ian Hair, and the strong running of Duncan Davidson. All three were on first team duty at Tynecastle three days later, but the reshuffled reserves rose to the occasion against Hearts A.
