Young Dons Storm Back To Hit Four

The books were well and truly balanced by Dons recently in the 4-1 Premier Reserve League win over Hamilton at Douglas Park. The fixture came not long after the 5-2 defeat at Motherwell when Aberdeen were winning 2-1 yet lost concentration to such an extent that four goals were conceded in an amazing five minute spell.
This time it was Dons' turn to bring about a dramatic reversal, not quite up to four-in-five-minutes level but spectacular just the same. Accies were 1-0 ahead at half time, a lead earned by a 25th minute Fraser strike from outside the box.
It was not until the second half that Aberdeen took charge but when they did it was with a vengeance. The equaliser was netted by Alan Selbie and within minutes Paul Wright had secured the lead, both scored from close in. Then Andy McLeod fired a morale-boosting goal he has been needing with a shot from just inside the box and wright hit his second and Dons' fourth from around 25 yards. The total haul was four goals in 12 minutes to transform the scoreline and leave no way back for well-beaten Hamilton.
