Hewitt Gives Reserves Strength
A week earlier the 3-2 win at home was achieved over a strong Saints side: "They included Campbell Money, the boy Wilson, Peter Godfrey, Peter Weir, Billy Davies all first team players. We did very well to beat them," the coach added.
Dons went ahead through John Hewitt then Malcolm Thomson went upheld for a corner to head the second. St. Mirren scrambled it back to 2-1 at half time before Hewitt restored the Dons two-goal advantage. St. Mirren netted again towards the end of the game.
