Challenge for Dons' Youngsters

The regular scoring form of Andy Gibson earned him a place in the first team squad along with Ian Cameron last Saturday, and this pair were missed by the young Dons in their Premier Reserve League clash with St Mirren at Love Street. With Gary Smith on the injured list and Gregg Watson making his first appearance after injury, the Aberdeen line-up was again a little short on experience and paid the penalty in a 2-1 defeat, all the goals coming in the final ten minutes. Andy Roddie claimed the only Aberdeen goal, but it could have been a different story had the young Dons taken a couple of earlier scoring chances.
